Van Antwerpen Dominates Track

Gerard van Antwerpen was in good form to take three wins at Cuddon Cycling Marlborough’s track meeting at Athletic Park last Monday evening.
The open grade events started off with Matt Wells just coming over Graham Henderson to take the 500m rolling start event, with van Antwerpen third. It was then all van Antwerpen with wins in the 800m handicap, miss and out, and 8000m scratch events. Nick Batt was consistent with two second placings on the night.
The ‘A’ grade under 17 events saw a dominant Ethan Batt with a win in the 500m handicap, second in the points race and third in the 800m handicap. Georgia Catterick had a strong winning ride in the points race whilst hugh Trollope won the 800m handicap.
The ‘B” grade under 17 events saw James Greer, Veli van Rensburg and Reece Blackmore all take wins.
